Whenever a popular OTP that you hate shows signs of falling apart.

thedeanofmedicine:

I don’t know if Jason and Liz are actually OTP — if I were really into these things, then I would assign OTP status to Lucky and Liz (it’s no accident that I’m writing “Liz” instead of “Elizabeth,” btw) — but when I saw this post, I instantly thought of Jason and Liz because so many people over the years and still even now keep cheering them on as a couple and I absolutely abhor the notion while championing Jason and Sam, who are a much, much better fit for one another.

Now I’m totally getting off track: I don’t like that Elizabeth is becoming a pawn in Ewan’s scheme or whatever larger conspiracy is brewing in Port Charles. In lieu of her own story, I would be fine with the character being written out altogether. I was part of the chorus that protested loudly and defiantly when Becky Herbst was fired, but if this is the kind of story that she is going to get, then I would rather that they court Jonathan Jackson for a glorious short-term storyline in which Liz and Lucky ride off into the sunset. Let’s get real: ABC is just waiting for the big 5-0 to be overwith as an excuse to get rid of the show.

GH Gets New Time Slot; Maxie in Flux, Sam and Liz Reborn

From Soapcentral:

Couric’s new talk show, which will debut the same day as GH’s time shift, was promised General Hospital’s current timeslot on most ABC stations across the country. However, Couric’s self-titled show, Katie, is syndicated, and will not be airing on every ABC station.

And from SoapZone:

Kirsten Storms (Maxie) and TPTB have been hard at work trying to hammer out a mutually satisfying agreement for a big return. This, according to the latest from Soap Opera Digest insiders and supposedly even confirmed by Storms’ mom. Meanwhile, the Jen Lilley (Maxie recast) fans have been Spamming TPTB’s Twitters with their campaign to keep their shiny new toy.

Both Sam and Elizabeth, who’ve in the past been attached to various men like pretty useless appendages, are currently undergoing modern updates — as strong, individual, independent women, according to a Daytime Dish rumor-dropper named, -C. –C posted last week, “Like Sam they are trying to make [Liz] more independent and strong. I wouldn’t count on her turning out to be the bad guy. Neither is Sam. They are both being built up the same way for a reason. They are both mothers who have been through hell and it’s going to be about their own journeys this summer instead of about being in the background of a man.”
